Deep Tissue Massage
is a concept. There are many different ways to do deep tissue massage and ideally it is directed at trouble shooting a specific muscle pain or restriction issue. It is sometimes thought of as the practice of physically isolating muscles. A true deep tissue session might involve 90% of the time spent on fine pressure isolating muscles from their adhesions to other muscles and connections.. Rather than just hard pressure it is about feeling one's way through the anatomy and the landscape of the muscular body. The choice of deep tissue massage should be about trouble shooting and finding where the muscle adhesions and triggered neuromuscular junctions are.
